Sydney Belly Dancer Rachel Wedding

Weddings, Anniversaries & Engagements

Make it unique, romantic and unforgettable!

For one of the most important occasions of your life, choose entertainment that is memorable and inspiring. Modern yet traditional, Rachel’s bellydance performance will unite you and your guests in celebrating your love and joy.

Imagine: The lights are dimmed. Guests’ chatter falls away as they hush in anticipation. Luscious music swells… and a stunning bellydancer bursts onto the dance floor, in a wave of colourful silk veils and dazzling costuming. What a brilliant way to start your wedding entertainment!

“Myself and my new wife would just like to say thank you for performing at our wedding. Your performance was wonderful. Our guests were very entertained and had nothing but great things to say about you. You were very professional in dealing with us from first contact to finish.” Aktuna

Rachel can also organise or be part of your Zaffe (entrance), with live drummers and as many dancers as you care to have. For a truly spectacular entrance into the room, ask about our fabulous light-up wings! Or for an elegant touch of tradition, add a shamadan (candelabra balancing) dance. It’s the classic Egyptian way to welcome the bride into her new family by lighting her path.

In a large function centre, a floor show can provide a powerful visual focus, making use of wings, LED wings, or double veil, sword, and other effective dynamic props. Smaller, less formal contexts can involve more audience interaction, helping to break the ice and get the party started. The bride and groom may choose to be brought out onto the floor, dancing together for the first time in their married life; and their bridal party and parents are the next to be invited to dance.

Shall we get your guests up and partying?

The performance will be tailored specifically to your special day, with attention to the appropriate music, stunning costumes, and even colour theming to match your decor and bridesmaids.

  • Choose from traditional entrances such as a zaffet (with or without shamadan / candelabra), or modern style entrances with “wings”.

  • Perhaps you want a romantic, hearts-themed costume? A blue and gold colour scheme? Full dress dance costumes are also available to suit more conservative audiences.

  • Requests for a particular song or singer? No problem!

  • For larger weddings, a duet or group can also be arranged. Live music or drummers can be brought in to complement the show for maximum effect.

What’s your cultural background?

One of Rachel’s specialties is choosing the right music and dance style for you and your guests. For instance we can include your choices of…

  • Egyptian: Baladi, Saidi, Shamadan, Melaya

  • Lebanese: Dabke fusion

  • Iraqi: Hachaa, Chobi

  • Turkish: Karsilama, Mezdeke-style face mask, ziller

  • Indian: Bollywood fusion on popular item songs
